SAINT PAUL'S CHURCH - THE BUILDING

The Saint Paul's Church building has been sold.  The last Sunday worship was Sunday, November 25th 2007, at 10 am.  It was a combined worship of the Episcopal Parishes of Schuyler County.  Faced with mounting brickwork, roof and interior plaster repair the decision to sell the building was a difficult one.  The immediate neighbor purchased the property just before her untimely death.  A new owner purchased the building and will invest the necessary capital to restore the building and maintain it as a unique Summer home.  Saint Paul's, as a Mission of the Diocese of Rochester, now concentrates on the Parish Hall building as an Outreach Center for Schuyler County and Montour Falls. 

Dean Jorge Gutierez, acting on behalf of Bishop Jack McKelvey, secularized the Church building at a service of Compline on Monday, December 3rd 2007, at 7.30 pm.  Members of all of the Churches in the Southeast District were present.
